Stanley and Consett Poverty Truth Commissioners started meeting in September 2025.
With the support of The Forge the group worked with creative practitioners Sheryl Jenkins and Bob Beagrie to tell their stories.
At the launch event in March 2026, Community Commissioners shared their experiences of poverty, and their hopes for change.
