As the coronavirus restrictions are lifting, many charities and community groups are beginning to reopen and re-engage within their communities. They are considering how to adapt their services in response to new circumstances and the changing needs of their beneficiaries to ensure their long-term sustainability.
It is our aim to support organisations with funding advice and we will be working hard to promote funding opportunities as they arise through our website, news bulletins and through the continued operation of our dedicated Information, Advice and Guidance service offer.
Between March and May we are running a series of virtual funding information sessions with a range of funders and grant giving organisations for representatives of voluntary and community groups across County Durham. Full details can be found here
We have produced a guide to provide you with a short introduction to funders supporting not-for-profit organisations in County Durham, helping you to choose which funds best meet your needs and the needs of those you are supporting.
The guide is not an exhaustive list; there are other funds available and new funds are regularly released.
We will endeavour to keep the information in this guide as accurate as possible and respond to updates from funders as quickly as possible.
