As we learn to live with COVID-19, to assist voluntary and community organisations we have developed a series of short online workshops on Strategic Planning, Consultation and Engagement, Financial Management and Volunteering. All sessions are currently fully funded.

Volunteer Boundaries

Volunteering Workshop

This online session is for volunteer coordinators or staff responsible for managing volunteers. It will cover understanding what volunteer boundaries are, identifying the need for clear boundaries, using boundaries to support people and best practice ways to ensure volunteers understand their responsibilities. 

Understanding GDPR for Voluntary and Community Organisations

Strategic Planning Workshop

This online session is for volunteer led organisations and community groups. It will focus on understanding your responsibilities and developing a data protection policy. 

Managing Risk using a Risk Register

Strategic Planning Workshop

This online session is for volunteer led organisations and community groups. It will look at developing a risk register and look at ways to mitigate risk 

Completing a Funding Application – Bring your Project to Life

Financial Management Workshop

A practical online session for volunteer led organisations and community groups. This is a session with specialist support to complete funding applications. Come along with a project idea to allow us to help you research suitable funders and complete the relevant applications. 

Volunteer Recruitment

Volunteering Workshop

This online session is aimed at staff/volunteers who are responsible for volunteer recruitment and covers recruitment process, how to diversify recruitment, writing an attractive role description and the challenges and changes to volunteer recruitment post lockdown. 

Protecting your Charity’s Finances

Financial Management Workshop

This online session is aimed at volunteer led organisations and community groups. It covers the practicalities of managing finance for your organisation, developing a financial controls policy to minimise risk and planning for future sustainability during a pandemic 

Understanding Trustee Responsibilities and Good Governance

Strategic Planning Workshop

This online session is for new trustees explaining your responsibilities within the organisation and how to develop an action plan to ensure best practice. 

Using Social Media to Stay Connected

Consultation and Engagement Workshop

This online session is designed for trustees NEW to social media to help understand the different platforms and how these can be used to stay connected to volunteers and service users. 

Setting up a New Group

Consultation and Engagement Workshop

This online session will look at understanding your responsibilities and developing an action plan for life after lockdown as you sustain your new group. 

All events take place online and joining instructions will be sent prior to the sessions.
