NATIONAL LOCKDOWN - STAY AT HOME GUIDANCE

5th Jan 2021

Following the announcement of the national lockdown last night, leaders of volunteer led organisations in County Durham will have woken up to new restrictions that will affect how they are able to continue to support people in their communities. This will have come as a blow to many who were preparing to restart limited activity following the Christmas break, and once again plans are having to be changed or cancelled in order to adhere to the new guidance.

Again, community centres and halls must close except for a small number of exempt activities which are outlined in government guidance.  Groups will also be looking at how they may be able to adapt their services to deliver them virtually to support their communities while following the lockdown guidelines.

Current government guidance on national lockdown rules can be found here and we are constantly reviewing our guidance, as we learn more we will update our information pages and our social media accounts.

While the new National Lockdown: Stay at Home instruction is disheartening and worrying for the groups that we work with, we are still here to support you so please do get in touch in you have any queries or concerns at info@durhamcommunityaction.org.uk
