We have been made aware of these opportunities that may be of interest to employees and volunteers from small and medium sized businesses including voluntary and community sector organisations in County Durham:

Free Employee Assistance Programme

Durham County Council are delivering PAM Assist, a fully-funded two year Employee Assistance Programme to small and medium sized businesses including voluntary and community sector organisations based in County Durham.

The service is independent and fully confidential, providing advice, guidance and support on a range of matters that may affect employee’s wellbeing. These include debt, family matters, relationships, legal matters or any other concerns that may be impacting on personal or working lives. Where assessed as appropriate, the service can also provide telephone/virtual counselling. There is no cost to businesses or employees.

Free Mental Health Training Sessions

Hartlepool and East Durham Mind have been commissioned by Durham County Council to deliver free mental health training sessions for small and medium sized businesses including voluntary and community sector organisations based in County Durham.

The training will initially be delivered online with easy to access short training sessions and follow up support sessions.

Regular sessions will be delivered over the next two years and will cover topics including first aid for mental health, resilience training and mutual aid support.
