HEALTHY START VOUCHERS - BITESIZE TRAINING

Public Health are offering a bite size training session for any teams and organisations across County Durham that think staff would be benefit from finding out more about the Healthy Start Voucher scheme and the recent changes.   

What is Healthy Start?    

  • The Healthy Start Scheme is a government scheme to improve the health of low-income pregnant women and families with young children on benefits and tax credits.   
  • The scheme will support families during the current situation as it helps low income pregnant women and young children to buy fruit, vegetables, milk and infant formula.

The training will last around 30 minutes and will cover the following:   

  • What is Healthy Start?   
  • Recent and proposed changes to the Healthy Start Scheme    
  • Healthy Start in County Durham   
  • Benefits of Healthy Start

  • Useful resources   
  • Partner ideas
