15th Sep 2020

We are running a free online accredited Volunteer Passport course starting Wednesday 30th September at 1.30pm via Zoom.

* Want to work in an industry where you have no previous experience?

* Need to complete training or develop skills to fill gaps on your CV?

* Fancy trying different types of work without having to commit to one straight away?

* Want to build your confidence and make new friends?

* Need to build up references?

* Want to fit work experience around the rest of your life?

Volunteering can help you achieve ALL of these things!

You can choose to volunteer in an area that interests you, at a time that suits you – choosing to do as much or as little as you wish, from a one off event to volunteering on a regular basis. Get real work experience whilst making a real difference in your community.

Durham Community Action will be delivering this course via Zoom. The course will consist of 3 x 1 hour weekly sessions along with 1 hour a week of independent learning. Continuous 1:1 support  either via email, telephone or Zoom will also be offered to all learners on the course.

Course material will be posted out to each learner to complete by hand along with a stamped address envelope to send completed work to be assessed.

Each learner will require some form of internet access to take part in the online sessions, this can be accessed via a smartphone, tablet or laptop/computer.
