20th May 2020

Volunteers Week is fast approaching and although we may not be able to celebrate in the same way as we have in previous years, we believe that volunteers should still get recognition for their contributions.

We feel it is important to recognise both the volunteer work that is taking place during this pandemic but also the dedicated hard work that has taken place throughout the year.

We have put together a few resources and suggestions of how you can still recognise and say thank you to your volunteers.

Download our Volunteers Week Certificate template and email or post out to volunteers.

Download our Volunteer Newsletter template with information around the value of volunteering and space to add your own volunteer stories.

Take the opportunity to give your volunteers a ring for chat and a cuppa (including those who are not currently volunteering due to the pandemic)

Have a virtual volunteer get together.

At Durham Community Action we will be recognising volunteers with a Social Media Roll of Honour.

Please email details about your volunteer groups, what they have been up to throughout the year and any pictures you may have too.

We will be promoting these on Facebook and Twitter through our County Durham Volunteer pages.
