Abby Thompson, Volunteering Manager for Durham Community Action said of the achievement:

" Durham Community Action were delighted to award Pioneering Care Partnership with the County Durham Volunteer Kite Mark quality standard.  During the assessment process it was apparent that the PCP had put into place a really valuable support structure for volunteers which had benefited them immensely and provided volunteers with the confidence to contribute to the delivery of a wide range of health focussed services and activities accessed by the community for their wellbeing. Volunteers actively contributed to the process and the conversations with the volunteers detailing their own personal experiences show how this support makes the PCP an organisation which will overcome barriers to offer a really valuable volunteering experience for a diverse range of people.”
