Durham Community Action are running a series of community development workshops for village halls and community buildings committees, volunteer led organisations and community groups based on topics we regularly receive enquiries about:

Completing a Funding Application – Bring Your Project to Life! 

This is a practical session with specialist support to complete funding applications. Come along with a project idea to allow us to help you research suitable funders and complete the relevant applications.

Developing your Volunteers Induction Process

This workshop is aimed staff / volunteers who are responsible for volunteer management. This is a practical session which covers how to introduce volunteers to your organisation, developing an induction programme for volunteer roles, the support system and appropriate paperwork to use.

This practical session will cover the importance of using Facebook for your community group, explain the difference between groups and pages, practical support to set up an account and update Facebook with posts and events, and guidance to manage your privacy settings and editing.

This is a practical session on recording your accounts; topics will include keeping basic payment and receipt accounts, cashflow and restricted funds.
