Natwest want to help build better communities for everyone. To achieve that aim, Natwest are seeking projects that will enable people in disadvantaged communities to develop, create or access the skills and opportunities they need to build their financial capability skills or to start or develop a new business now or in the future.

If you represent a charity, community group, social enterprise or state-funded school or college, and have a project or project idea that meets Natwest's Skills and Opportunities Fund eligibility criteria, then here's a gentle nudge to help you get your application into gear - 3 reasons to apply:

1. Natwest is offering grants of up to £35,000 to help extend the reach of existing not-for-profit projects or to help you get new not-for-profit projects off the ground. Just think of what you could do with a five figure funding boost!!

2. If successful, your project could also benefit from the skills and expertise of bank staff volunteers who are looking forward to making a difference by volunteering their time.

3. A Skills and Opportunities Fund grant provides an excellent chance to make a long term difference to some of our most disadvantaged local communities. By helping people to access the skills and opportunities they need to improve their financial capabilty or to start and develop their own business, they not only help people help themselves but build stronger communities for us all.
