COUNTY DURHAM VOLUNTEER COORDINATORS FORUM

The Forum was established in 2006 and provides the opportunity for staff / volunteers who are responsible for volunteer management in their organisation to network with staff / volunteers from other organisations who have similar responsibilities. The forum is facilitated by Durham Community Action.

At regular meetings presentations are given by organisations on new initiatives or overviews of volunteering programmes. Regular topics include changes in volunteer policy and legislation, funding possibilities and local training available to volunteers.

The forum meetings take place on a quarterly basis In January, April, July and October at Bowburn Community Centre, Durham Road, Bowburn, Durham DH6 5AT and new participants are always welcome! The forum runs between 10:00am - 12:00 noon with informal networking until 1:00pm.
