enabling enterprise

We support and help community enterprise to develop, plan and get going.

Voluntary sector organisations and groups need to plan ahead and manage their activities and resources in much the same way as small businesses.

We work with groups and organisations helping them to move towards a more enterprising future.  We provide a business focus for developing ideas into workable schemes, which helps them to generate income and keep their projects alive into the future.

Increasingly, voluntary organisations and groups need to find and develop local solutions and initiatives that can address the provision of local services. The voluntary sector is increasingly asked by public agencies to tender for opportunities that provide funding for the provision of services. We support local groups, organisations or communities to think through their ideas and then turn them into actions.

We also provide help to enable like-minded groups, sharing similar objectives, to develop into formal partnerships and consortia. Our help includes advice and assistance to draw up partnership and consortia agreements, business plans, financial planning, training, and managing projects.  We also help organisations and partnerships to get ready for tendering and providing local services, and then assist with promotion and marketing.
